My Harley Davidson Nightster 209 Wont Start ?

My harley davidson nightster 209 wont start, had it running and when i put the stand down the engine cut out. Now side stand light appears on speedometer, and when the stand is up or down engine will not start whilst in neutral. I spoke to harley davidson and they told me to spray the stand switch with wd40 but still not working. Can someone tell me were the stand switch is or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks.

The sidestand hits the switch as you push it up.
if you look at the stand and look where it goes when it’s up. you’ll see the switch.
(it’s just a push switch, like a one on your car door)
If you just unplug it, that should do it.
or it might be stuck in or something.
They put them on, so you can’t turn the bike over when it’s on the sidestand incase it takes off
stand switch is either in the stand base or attached to a smaller spring in the stand arm.
