Question by Joe B: If Harley Davidson made a scooter, What would they name it?
I didn’t know HD made a scooter in the 50′s and 60′s.
I was thinking scooters are very popular and sales are way up and are the wave of the future because of high gas prices, and HD is losing market share when they have none to offer.
I have a dream, I dream I was the CEO of HD and I had to save HD, what I would do is stop making the giant V Twin bikes and make a line of smaller bikes simular to Honda and Yamaha and include scooters

the screaming beagle. or the G-rod. it would look like a cushman from the 50′s and run like it too. and their marketing dept. would convince everyone it is the latest greatest ultimate scoot.
The XLS883SC, I can’t see Harley making a scooter any smaller than that. And of course it would have all sorts of aftermarket goodies available …

The Night Ranger. It would look super cool, all black and chrome and tassels on the handle bars. It would have a huge engine that gets about 5HP, weigh 400lbs, and sell for twice as much as anything else.

They made one back in the ’50s. It was called the Topper.
